This past Monday the FedEx man delivered my new computer. I've been waiting for close to two weeks
for it to come and it finally did, from its origin in China, then to Anchorage, Alaska, then to Indianapolis, and finally, to me.
The computer is an HP Pavilion dv7t. It has a 17" monitor, an Intel 2Duo T5900 processor and lots of good features.
It came with Vista, which means the computer is NOT ready-to-go out of the box (only Macs are!). My computer came with Service Pack 1 for Vista, but still needed 43 updates from Microsoft just to get up to speed - totaling almost 450 MB. And that was just for Vista and Explorer. After I installed Office Professional Plus, it needed another 7 updates - big ones.
Why do I bother to make a blog post about my new computer? Because God provided it. I had been praying for a while now about my need for a new computer and suddenly God came through in an amazing way. Truly, God knows our needs and answers prayer. And now, for the first time in a long time, I own a computer that is up-to-date! Of course, it won't be for long.
